This sweet guy came to us last summer from our friends at the Humane Society of Otter Tail County. He was just a puppy missing a lot of hair. His previous owner was not able to care for him when he was infested with fleas. They put every topical thing on him that they could find and it was originally thought that he was having a severe reaction to all the medications. Fortunately and unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
He has an auto immune disorder called Vasculitis. Cutaneous vasculitis in dogs is an inflammation of the walls of the blood vessels due to an abnormal immune system response, which causes skin conditions. He is on a couple medications that he will need to be on lifelong to control his condition. He does not need to be on a special diet. His medications would be around $80-$100 monthly. He would also need yearly blood work due to the medications.
Whiskey is about a year and a half old and he lives for his people! He would do anything for them and he is a bit timid around new people. He LOVES to run and play. He would do best with another dog. Whiskey is a Border Collie mix and is petite at about 30#. He is an active guy that would love to go explore with his new family. He is house trained and crate trained.
