Sage is a sweet and gentle 11-year-old Chihuahua mix. He weighs about 15 pounds. He came into rescue because his previous owner died. He had his teeth fixed but his cute little bottom fangs are intact. He also had a benign rectal polyp removed, no further care will be needed, and he is otherwise a healthy and energetic little guy. Sage gets along well with big and small dogs, and cats too. As far as we know, he has no experience with children. He would love to have his person be home most of the time. He loves to be outside, take naps in the sun, go for walks and snuggle with you on the bed. Sage is a talker and will greet you with happy little barks when you come home or will tell you if he has to go outside, or if he’s hungry. He is very bright, treat oriented and learns quickly. A single person, or couple, who is retired or works from home would be an ideal match for Sage. This sweet little man is currently in foster care and his caregivers are happy to answer any questions you have.
