Meet Joey

This big brute of a boy is about 5 years old and came to us when his previous family got a divorce and neither spouse could keep him. He lived most of his life outside and when he came to us it was his first time being a house dog. It has been a learning curve but he has figured it out. He is currently fostered with 3 other Goldens and he does great. He has not been around cats. He is a wonderful boy who would love a family that will spoil him.
Joey is a golden with a thicker frame and he weighs about 70#. He is doing well with house training. A few weeks after joining us he started having seizures. We were concerned about a possible brain tumor because they continued through the first round of medications. We had a brain scan done as well as a spinal tap and that was all normal so he has late onset epilepsy. He is managed by 2 daily medications. He is otherwise very healthy and his medications just require yearly blood monitoring.
