I was able to catch Dublin mid run this afternoon 😉 This guy has been hanging out with us for the past month or so while his sores have healed. He is just a wonderful boy to be around ❤
Dublin has an autoimmune condition called Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex. It’s an inflammatory reaction that is specific to cats. It can be idiopathic (we don’t find the cause) or secondary to an allergy. We have switched his diet to a low allergen food and placed him on a short course of steroid.
Longterm Dublin will need to stay on a prescription food specifically for allergies. A bag normally costs around $33 and usually last about 6 weeks. He would love to eat his way through that bag in much less time so we have him on measured twice daily feeding so he doesn’t become overweight.
Dublin is about 4.5 years old. He was found as an unclaimed stray with a large wound at the base of his tail and ulcers on his lips. This was caused by the autoimmune issue. By switching his food and placing him on a course of steroid, his body has healed up nicely. He does fine with other animals after some time of introduction. He prefers a calm household. Once he knows his people, he will follow you everywhere and love you forever ❤
Adoption fee is $150
