Meet Doug

This senior boy is as sweet as they come. He is everything people love about the breed. He is soft and gentle and loves attention and being close to you. He also loves car rides. Doug came to us with the most recent puppy mill jail break. He came with the puppies that we just adopted out.

He was in rough shape and we got to work right away with his ear infection, matted coat, neuter, dental and overall vetting. He got the all clear for adoption and he is ready to find his new family.

Doug is about 8 years old and is just learning what it is like to live inside and not in a cattle barn with 400+ dogs. He does a pretty good job keeping things clean but he will need to get the hang of his new family’s schedule and while learning, he may need a belly band in the house.

He loves other dogs but we have never introduced him to cats. He also loves people of all ages. Doug has spent his whole life battling others for food and he is very thin. We recommend feeding him separately from other animals so he doesn’t feel the need to compete.
