Meet Queen Sassy!
Oh Lord she comin’!!! That is what pops in our mind when you first she
Sassy 😉 This lady is Thick and she knows it! Sassy is also unlike
most cats… she thinks, wait she KNOWS she is a QUEEN through and through.
Coming in at a bodacious 17lbs, she commands the room whenever she enters.
Sassy is 6.5 years old and originally was found on reservation land in
South Dakota. She found her way to her current foster home back in 2021.
Unfortunately, the original rescue organization that took responsibility
for her did some initial vetting and then left her and her foster high and
dry. Neither Sassy, nor the foster family deserved to be left without
options. That is when RPAW comes in. When we found out about this, we knew
that this foster needed help and so did Sassy. You see, it wasn’t just
Sassy… There are two other cats in the same situation. We will be posting
them as well.
Now, June of 2025 Sassy is re-entering the adoption world and is looking
for her actual forever home and we will support her and her foster until
that happens. Sassy is a special girl and she is a sensitive girl deep
down, even though her outside demeanor is tough. Think Sassy from the
Homeward Bound movies 😉
Sassy would love to be in a home, a top her throne, as an only animal. She
does fine with other cats but she really wants to be spoiled. She also
needs a place that understands that she is not a cuddly cat or one that
really seeks out attention, but rather she likes to just exist in the
presence of her humans. A quiet home without a lot of visitors, or visitors
that are low key would be best.
We know this is a HUGE ask and that she may sit with us for a long time,
but we KNOW that there is someone out there that has a great spot for a
hefty lady who doesn’t ask for much  ❤
