Brad and Burt

By Adoptable Cats No Comments

Meet Brad (Flame Point) and Burt (Orange Long Hair)!
These brothers came to us from a rural farm that was working on getting all of their cats spayed/neutered. Unfortunately they are elderly and have over 100 cats on the property. These “brothers” were from the first round up. They are very inbred and they were full of parasites. There was a good amount of damage to their guts from their living situation and it has taken us this long to be able to get things under control. They will always be sensitive boys and need to be on easy to digest food. They also may have bouts of soft stool every now and then.
The important thing to know about these guys is that they LOVE to play and have crazy teenage boy antics and will constantly make you smile and keep you on your toes! The other unique part is that they are about 10 months old and still the size of 5 month old kittens. They will likely always be kitten sized.
If you are looking to add some energy to your home in the form of kitty antics, these boys are for you. They LOVE humans, attention and food!
Brad and Burt will be adopted together as they are bonded now and love each other.
Adoption application for these guys is available at rpaw.org
Adoption fee for the pair is $300

Garfield

By Adoptable Cats No Comments

Hi, I’m Garfield!
I came all the way from Sioux Falls, South Dakota! The humane society there is very overwhelmed at the moment and RPAW had some open cat space available. I am a very shy guy but I do warm up and am very sweet. I would love a calm home with maybe one other cat or so. I will need time to acclimate and learn that people are not scary. I am never aggressive, I just try to hide. Could you find a spot for me in your family?

Jeremy

By Adoptable Cats No Comments
Hi, I’m Jeremy!

I am a sleek black panther… with a personality to match! I was found as a stray in the city and no one claimed me. I was likely hit by a car at some point in my life because I have damage to my face and I lost a couple teeth from it. I have a crunchy shoulder as well but it doesn’t slow me down one bit.
I would do best as an only cat. Unfortunately, I lived on the streets for a while and didn’t meet the friendliest cats. I really like humans and FOOD! I will come running from anywhere for treats, snacks or meal time.
If you are looking to add a best friend to your life… HERE I AM!!!

Elsa

By Adoptable Cats No Comments

Hi, I’m Elsa
I am just under a year old. Last winter someone found me frozen to the ground during a bad cold snap. Thankfully they brought me to the local animal control for help. Unfortunately, I had extreme frostbite. I was transferred to this nice rescue where they kept me warm and fed and on pain medications while my body processed the frostbite.
My tail needed to be amputated due to the frostbite, and a few of my front toes and back toes also came off. I am a little timid when you approach but I give in quickly for pets and treats.
I can get along just fine missing a couple toes and my tails but I LOVE to cuddle up and take naps. I am a very quiet kitty and I would love to find a forever home soon!

Henrietta

By Adoptable Cats No Comments

Looking for a new feline friend for your playful cat? Meet Henrietta!
Henrietta is a 16-week-old tabby kitten with a big personality and a playful spirit. She’s looking for a forever home—preferably one with an older cat sibling who’s ready for adventure! Henrietta loves other cats and gets along well with dogs too. She’s great with humans, but she prefers a calm environment—quick or sudden movements make her a bit nervous, so a home without young children would be ideal. While she may never be a lap cat, Henrietta enjoys being close to her people and adores belly rubs. She might take a little time to settle in, but once she feels at home, you’ll see just how spunky and affectionate she can be. Her favorite pastime? Batting around her beloved mouse toys and charming you into giving her attention when she’s in the mood. Henrietta is spayed, microchipped, and has received her first set of vaccinations.
Her adoption fee is $300.

Cupid

By Adoptable Cats No Comments

This lover boy cannot get enough of 2 things: humans and FOOD!
Cupid joined our rescue when a rural municipal shelter was overwhelmed and he was fighting a couple rounds of ear infections. Thankfully all of that has resolved but he does have a permanent head tilt due to the extent of the infections. It does not cause him any trouble and he gets around and does normal cat things just like everyone else.
Cupid is 3 years old and does well with everyone. He is just a happy go lucky orangie that would make any home happy!
His adoption fee is $200

Reckless

By Adoptable Cats No Comments
 Hi, I’m Reckless!

I was first brought to RPAW in 2021 when I was a stray teenager with a broken leg. They had the surgeon come out to fix my leg and I was adopted by a nice couple. At that time my name was Thumbelina, for some reason my new family named me Reckless. Unfortunately, the husband passed away recently and the wife had to go into a nursing home so I am again homeless. I am such a sweet girl but this whole ordeal has stressed me out and I do hide at first when I am in new places. I need about a week to get comfortable and then I am out exploring and being a part of the group. I lived with other cats and did not have any issues. I also got a little overweight at my previous home so we are working on that 😉 If you have a somewhat quiet home and a little patience, I would love to come home with you!

Mort

By Adoptable Dogs No Comments
Meet Mort!
This beautiful boy was the product of a puppy mill. If you haven’t heard of them, please look them up. He is half Siberian Husky and half Australian Shepherd. Please research both breeds before applying for Mort. They are WORKING breeds and they need a job to do. If they are made to sit in the house all day, they will go crazy and make their own job aka mess. They need an active family/person that expends the energy they have. Huskies were born to run… a lot. Aussies were born to herd… everything. Put those together and you have a dog that can keep up with children but also tend to “herd” them.
Mort was surrendered to us when he had severely enlarged eyeballs. We brought him to the Veterinary Ophthalmologist and he was diagnosed with Glaucoma. Unfortunately, the damage was already done and he couldn’t see. He was also in a lot of pain. The only way to solve this issue was to surgically remove both of his eyes. The change in him was almost immediate! He was happier and more playful, he wasn’t worried about running around and living life as a puppy!
Mort was born on 1/16/25 and he is currently about 30#. He will likely be 50-60# full grown. He gets around well and LOVES people. He LOVES cuddling and he is learning the leash so well. He also LOVES other dogs. He would do best in a home with another dog to help him learn the ropes as both a blind dog and a puppy.
If you are looking for a one of a kind boy who will bring you joy everyday, look no further!
